Terms of Service

MineCat (App ID: tw.lychee.minecat, "the game") is developed and operated by Lychee Intelligence Co., Ltd. ("we").

1. About these terms

• By downloading or playing the game, you agree to these terms.
• How we handle data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which is equally binding.
• If you do not agree, please do not use the game.

2. How you may use the game

We grant you a licence to use the game on your own devices for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code (except where law expressly permits)
• modify game files, or use cheats or automation tools to gain an advantage
• interfere with our servers or other players' connections
• resell, rent, or redistribute the game as part of another product

3. Age

The game is not directed at children. We recommend it for players aged 13 and over, or the higher minimum age required by your local law. Minors should play with a guardian's consent.

4. No account; saves live on your device

• The game requires no registration; we do not create accounts.
• Level progress, stars, best step counts, and settings are stored only on your device.
• We cannot read or restore them. Changing phones, deleting the app, or clearing app data loses your progress permanently. There is no recovery path.

5. In-game values and items

• Fish coins, collectibles, and any in-game value are not currency and have no real-world value.
• They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to other players, or taken outside the game.
• The game currently has no purchases of any kind.
• We may adjust these values for balance or to fix bugs.

6. Advertising

• Puzzle mode offers two optional rewarded ads. Watching ads is never required to unlock or clear any level.
• Ads are served by Google AdMob. We do not choose their content and do not endorse advertisers or their products. Data handling for ads is covered in the Privacy Policy.
• Faking ad views or impressions by technical means is prohibited under section 2.

7. Conduct in online rooms

In an online room, your display name and actions are visible to other players in that room. You agree that:

• your display name and in-game conduct must not be offensive, harassing, discriminatory or hateful, sexual, impersonating, advertising, or fraudulent
• you will not exploit bugs, use cheats or automation, or interfere with other players' connections
• we may disconnect you, close a room, or refuse online service to a user without prior notice

Reporting: email support@lychee.tw with the room code and the approximate time.

Please report promptly. When a room ends, the server deletes that room's temporary state in full, so afterwards we hold no record of the display names or actions involved. That is a deliberate privacy choice, and the trade-off is that we cannot investigate after the fact.

8. We may change or discontinue the service

• Content, features, and levels may be updated, adjusted, or removed at any time.
• Online features and servers may be suspended or permanently shut down for maintenance, cost, or other reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice but cannot guarantee it.
• The game is provided free of charge; no compensation is offered if the service ends.

9. No warranty

The game is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the game, including loss of game progress. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or mandatory consumer protection rules).

11. Intellectual property

The game's code, artwork, sound, text, and name belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. These terms grant you a licence to play; no rights are transferred.

Licences for the open-source packages and fonts used by the game are viewable on the licences page inside the app.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Disputes shall be submitted to the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance, without prejudice to any jurisdictional rights available to consumers by law.

13. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the revised terms.
