Privacy Policy

Lychee Intelligence Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") developed Word Battle (萬語典, "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the App.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data.

The App has no account system — you never need to register or log in — and never transmits any data to us or any third party. Our privacy declarations on both the App Store and Google Play state "Data Not Collected."

Data Stored on Your Device

Everything the App produces is stored locally on your device, including:

  • Learning progress — the study and review schedule state for each word
  • Chapter and story mission progress — completed lessons, unlocked and completed missions
  • Bestiary collection and region research progress — collected monster fragments, unlocked region content
  • Adventure state — HP and potion counts
  • App settings — e.g. the pronunciation auto-play toggle

This data stays on your device only. We have no servers and no way to access it. If you have device backup features enabled (such as iCloud Backup or a Google account backup), this data may be included in your own backup, which is governed by that platform's own terms and privacy policy.

Network Connectivity

The App works without any network connection. There are no outbound network requests anywhere in the App: nothing is uploaded, nothing is downloaded, and no usage activity is reported. Word and example-sentence pronunciation audio is bundled offline inside the App installer and played locally on your device — it never streams from a server.

Save Export & Import

The Settings screen offers "Export Save," which produces a .json file containing your learning progress and hands it to your device's native share sheet, where you choose where to save or send it. "Import Save" uses the system's file picker to read a file you previously exported and restore your progress. This entire flow is triggered by you, and the data never passes through any server of ours — we don't have one.

Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party analytics tools, crash reporting services, advertising frameworks, or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites.

Deleting Your Data

All of the App's data lives entirely on your device. You can delete the App at any time, which removes all learning progress, settings, and collection data along with it. Since we never hold any of your data, there is no separate deletion request to make with us.

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect any personal data, and therefore does not collect personal information from children. The content is suitable for a general audience.

If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the content on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically for the latest privacy information.
