Privacy Policy

Lychee Intelligence Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") developed MineCat (貓雷行動, "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the App.

Summary

The App requires no account, contains no advertising, and includes no third-party analytics. Game progress is stored only on your device. The App connects to our server only when you choose to join an online room.

What We Do Not Collect

  • Identity data — no names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, or government identifiers.
  • Device permissions — the App never requests contacts, photos, location, camera, microphone, or notifications. You will not see those prompts because the code never asks.
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA) — the App integrates no advertising or tracking SDK.

Data Stored on Your Device

Level progress, star ratings, best step counts, fish coins, warehouse collectibles, and game settings are kept on your device using standard iOS local storage. This data is never uploaded; we cannot read or recover it. Deleting the App removes it.

Data Sent During Online Multiplayer

Your device contacts our server only when you actively join an online room. That connection carries only:

  • the display name you type yourself on the join screen (defaults to "Explorer" if left blank)
  • the room code and the character you selected
  • your in-game actions for that session: moves, shots, and pickups

This data exists solely so that players in the same room can see each other's moves. The server holds it in that room's temporary state and deletes it in full when the room ends. It is not written to any long-term database, not combined with other data, and never sold or shared with third parties.

If you do not use online rooms, the App needs no network connection at all.

Third-Party Services

None at present. The App contains no ad network, behavioural analytics, attribution tracking, or social login SDK.

The only external service is our own game server, hosted on Cloudflare. As with any internet service, Cloudflare generates connection-level technical records (such as IP addresses) for operation and abuse prevention. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to those.

Beta Builds (TestFlight)

For builds installed through TestFlight, Apple collects crash reports and usage data under its own policy and shares them with us for debugging. Apple's privacy policy governs this, and you can turn sharing off inside the TestFlight app.

Children's Privacy

The App collects no personal data and therefore collects none from children. The online display name is typed by the player; we recommend not entering a real name or anything else identifying.

Your Rights

Because we hold no data that can be linked to you, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. Your on-device progress is yours; removing the App clears it.

Policy Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. If a change introduces new data collection — for example if analytics or advertising are added in the future — we will say so clearly inside the App.
